About Us

Made by Hand. Made with Purpose.

Hi, I'm Barbara — the maker behind Green Stitch Studio, based in the mountains of Waynesville, NC.

For over seven years, I've been handcrafting reusable home textiles with one simple goal: to make it easy to replace the disposable stuff with something better. Something that lasts, feels good to use, and doesn't end up in a landfill after a single use.

Where It Started

I started selling handmade goods on Etsy under CuddlebugStudio, and over time, my focus sharpened around a question I kept coming back to: why are we still reaching for paper towels, disposable wipes, and single-use products when a well-made reusable alternative works better and costs less over time?

Green Stitch Studio grew out of that question — and out of a genuine love for working with natural fabrics and making things that are built to be used, washed, and used again.

The Materials

Every product I make starts with fabric I've chosen carefully. I work primarily with 100% cotton, flannel, and terrycloth — natural fibers that are soft, absorbent, durable, and get better with every wash. No synthetics, no shortcuts.

The Process

Everything is handcrafted by me, one batch at a time. I cut, sew, and finish each piece with attention to the details that matter — straight seams, secure edges, consistent quality Small-batch production means I can stand behind every item that leaves my studio.

This isn't mass production. It's intentional making.

The Mission

Disposable products are convenient — until you think about where they go. My work is about offering a practical, beautiful alternative: reusable kitchen towels, aka "unpaper towels", everyday napkins, facial cloths and eye make up remover pads, to start. All are designed to fit into real life and reduce waste without requiring a lifestyle overhaul.

Sustainable doesn't have to mean complicated. It just means choosing things that last.

Thank You

Whether you've been shopping with me since the Etsy days or you're finding Green Stitch Studio for the first time — thank you. Every order supports a one-person studio and a commitment to making things the right way.
